I hear people saying all the time, you must stay positive.

Well, positivity is more productive than negativity, but did you know that being positive can create negativity? Huuuhhh!!!!!

Think about this: You look in the mirror and you are not happy with the person that you see. So you proceed to practice being positive. “I love the person that I see. That person is slim. She/he is …..” You get the point.

Well doesn’t a little voice creep in and say “You are lying. Look at you. You are…”

What started out to be “positive” actually became a “negative” conversation. Which will create negative feelings. Which could create more stress or depression (depending on where you stand).

For an example: you have weeds in your garden. You decide to be positive by saying “there are no weeds, there are no weeds”. Well, recognize that you got weeds (get over it) and pull them out of your garden. Just being positive is not going to get rid of the weeds.

In some instances a negative is a positive. What?

Example: You are a person that gets angry and screams and creates havoc when a certain situation occurs. Now, you get angry and keep it inside. The anger is still a negative, but it is positive compared to the way you used to address the issue. Now you can work on moving from the anger stage.

By the way, in the weight conversation, a better statement may be “I am moving towards having the slim body that I dreamed about”. Isn’t that true. If you have made a decision to do something about your weight, aren’t you moving towards your goal? This will create better feelings because you know it is true and you can “Believe it”.

So bottom line, what am I saying? Just being positive is not the entire answer. It helps. You have to believe that there is a positive solution. The faith that you will figure a way out of it is what will create better feelings. The ideal is to create better feelings. Better feelings will release stress and that ultimately will create a positive environment.

It ain’t right. It ain’t wrong. It’s just my opinion.

If the world was blind,

maybe then we’d see

the true side of beauty,

deep within you and me.

No one could judge us

by our outer looks,

like the fancy covers

on expensive books.

We’d see with our hearts,

and not just our eyes,

and what we’d discover

might be a surprise.

There would be no need

to try to impress,

with the way we look,

or the way that we dress.

The only thing that would matter

is the way we would feel,

not phoney or cheap,

but truthful and real.

If You Are Against What is Happening Inside Prisons Of Occupied Palestine.. If You Are A Human-Being !

Speak Up.. Shout.. Like.. Share.. Let Us Be Heard....

What’s happening now inside prisons of occupied Palestine, there is a fight for dignity and freedom happening inside there right now. Every single time i think about what’s happening in there i feel ashamed of myself. I feel small and not important, it started with Hanaa Shalabi and then Khader Adnan, now it’s with more then 1500 prisoners.

Some of them are jailed without any charged against them which is what they’re fighting against. It that ugly way of the occupation in fighting Palestinians. It’s the ugly Administrative detention. Hanaa Shalabi and Khader Adnan fought it before and they won and earned there freedom. Now it’s the turn of all those prisoners on hunger strike.

They have a list a demands which can be easily met if Israel wants

Those demands as viewed in the picture above in Arabic are:

1. The right to have an Education.

2. An end to the policy of Solitary confinement.

3. Stop forbidding visits or limiting them.

4. To allow books & holy books and clothes.

5. The improvement of Medical treatment for patients and injured.

6. End of Administrative detention “Arrests without reason”.

7. Unblock tv channels that were stopped.

8. End the policy of raids and searches that are provocative.

9. End the policy of handcuffing the detainees during visits.

10. Stop group punishment and to all the prisoners to buy food.

Those 10 demands are a right for the prisoners and they won’t stop their hunger strike until they earn them, either they get and win or they’ll die with dignity and still win. As i said it’s a win win battle. So ladies and gentlemen we have an obligation here, if we are truly with the Palestinian cause. If we support those hunger strikers we gotta SPEAK UP and do everyone in our power. We have do to raise our voices high in support and with the politicians sleeping on it as usual we got no option but to do this ourselves.

All over the world there are protests, vigils and human chains and a lot other ideas. There are even hunger strikers in solidarity here in Jordan. But we need to do more people, we have to move and move faster because the hunger strikers aren’t going to last like this for long. They’re in danger.
